John Baker - Alpek Polyester UK Ltd

John Baker is HSEQ & Technology Director at the Wilton Alpek Polyester UK Ltd responsible for all aspects of site safety at the COMAH polyester manufacturing site in the North-East of England as well as technology lead for continuous and sustainable improvements including strategy development for recycling.  He is Board member of Committee of Polyester Manufacturers Europe (CMPE), Member of the technical committee of PETCore and takes part in other industry groups in UK and EU.   

John is a Chartered Engineer, FIChemE and previous to Alpek gained over 27 years industrial experience including roles in ICI and Dupont in operations, technology, commissioning, licensing, safety, IT and quality as well as working with major brands.
